Born in 1807, died in 1870. This amazing card need only a little explanation. Pulled by an east coast collector in 2004, this card has never been on eBay! Collectors have doubted if this ever existed since it was never sold. Beckett Media is proud to have been chosen to auction this.As displayed at THE National Convention last week, here it is! Here are some facts about Robert E. Lee cards in the hobby. This is his first card of any kind in a sports or memorabilia product. His only base cards were in 2006 Allen & Ginter, but no autograph. 2007 SP Legendary cuts, but no auto. The only other known cut autograph is on the checklist for 2008 SP Legendary Cuts, but that card has yet to hit the market. This is truly a rare find!Better yet, this card has been graded by Beckett Grading Service as a Gem Mint 9.5 with a 9 Auto. You rarely see such clean sharp corners on a cut auto like this.
